This has been my favorite portable midi app out of all the other ones I use fl gb and many others but this one is perfect the only thing that would make it perfect would be to add more sounds and instruments I get bored using same sounds for every song I dont care if I have to pay for it Ill gladly but it hope it happens some time soon

Need autotune

Ive owned this app since the early days, and I love it. Now that Ive upgraded to the iPad Pro 12.9 though I hope the developers can update the UI soon to support the larger screen size.

The instruments dont sound realistic. Thats 50% of the grade right there. Example, I dont believe GarageBand is better than this app functionality wise. But the realistic sound of the instruments, is what makes the app. Ill change this review once we get away from Atari sounding instruments.

You want to just make some music? Get this app. The individual pieces arent as deep or as flashy as other DAWs, sequencers, drum machines, sample players etc. but, taken as a whole, this is a powerful yet simple song making machine. Perfect for old-schoolers like me.

Just got the "full" version last night...was impressed with the trial version, so went for it...played around for three hours before sleep time, then so far today, about three hours...seems there Are techno snobs out there who wouldnt be satisfied with a complete Pro Tools HD studio and a full, live orchestra sitting in front of them...Im not one of those...Ive been making music and experimenting with sound/recording since 1967. I have had the best and worst of equipment/technology...this is the 1st "app" I have ever rated...that said...using creativity, imagination and talent...if you cant make great music with this "app", maybe you should re-consider what youre doing...bottom line...this is a cool thing, with cool instrument sounds, nice layout, not over complicated, and ready to add inspiration and dimension to any of your multitrack adventures. I recommend the use of pre-amp etc. for the full enjoyment effect. Thats my two cents...Thanks!

My review heading says it all. Ive seen many apps that are so complex, its a wonder anybody can make any music with them, but with this app you can create some pretty impressive sounds (check out the "Building An Orchestra" video by Xewton) without feeling like you need to pull your hair out, or go to school to be a rocket scientist first. To me, this is a level or two above Garageband - not so much in the learning curve but in the variety of available sounds. This is a highly recommended app to learn the art of iOS recording and music creation. My one complaint is that many of the instruments sound very unrealistic, otherwise I would give this 5 stars. Also recommended if you like this app is Looptical, although it has a little more of a learning curve.

I am running a midi guitar with irig midi to control the voices in this app, but am having a bunch of problems with dropped notes. That doesnt happen in other software with the same interface. Otherwise, I like what this app does. The interface is nice and user friendly. Touch controls work fine. It just doesnt quite do what I want it to do reliably. Im hoping it can work in future updates.

If you dont like it, its probably bc you dont know how to use it, or you have too high of expectations. This app is perfect to help inspire ideas!

For the last 4-5 years this has been my go-to-app. Great for writing out ideas when away from an instrument, on the road or flying. Ive started many songs using this app and was able to easily move them to logic or pro tools to finish them up.

I love this app but it wont let me upload to soundcloud every time it just crash and wont let me do it

This app is how I started making music back in 2011. I made so many songs on this app Im pretty much the master of this app! I love this app cause it reminds me of 2012.. But that is one big problem. It looks exactly the same and sounds exactly the same. They really really need to update it to keep up with music now days. I work with fl studio now as a music producer making rap beats and I can say this app does not have up to date sounds with 2016 music. Really needs better and newer sounds and really needs a look update. Looks exactly the same as 4 years ago. They need more effects to and way more sounds. Once thats done I will be happy. But still love this app because it started me out in my music career.

I have not been able to eliminate the cross talk problem even though I have followed all of the advice on the support forum. Unfortunately this makes the software useless for recording multiple tracks, or recording a track against a metronome. To bad, I had high hopes and invested a lot of time learning how to use its many features.

For such a powerful app youd expect a lot of problems, but the only two Ive ever encountered after using it for like 2 or 3 years (I just got it on this account but I bought it before on another) are rare problems where the reverb would make a very loud noise in some situations and another where the top buttons would be offset by a few millimeters. Its hard to find something so capable with so few problems.

This is an amazing app. I have added it to my Live rig. Only one problem the modulation wheel stopped working. Please put out an update to fix this.

I began using Music Studio as a mobile way to remember my ideas. Every since IAA, I can use Music Studio in the same manner as my desk top DAW. I now find myself using Music Studio as my primary DAW. Using IAA to use Beat Hawk & Voice Synth inside of Music Studio and a Korg MIDI controller. Music Studio is perfect for my needs.

Thank you for making this awesome app. I finally found a DAW that unleashes my creativity by being easy and yet powerful. I just want to focus on music creation and not on the recordings and settings particularities.

So Ive had this app since I was in 6th grade now Im in 11th, and this app has been worth all time and effort. Its a bit complicated at first but then it becomes super easy for newcomers. All I ask are for new sounds to be added again, maybe newer features, and a feature which allows you to set certain time signatures for different parts of a song. This app is worth it bruhhh

Ive goje through many of these apps promising "A great way to create music on the go!" or "Incredible quality!" and almost every one of them has turned out to be mediocre. On the other hand, This one outclasses the rest by a mile. The price is worth it, and to unlock everything is not much. The price is totally worth it. The instrument selections and sound quality is god-like compared to other apps in the app store as of now. Thank you to the devs for making such an amazing app. Makes creativity on the go neverending
