Music Studio App Reviews

The instruments quality is superb, I am composing orchestra quality work on my phone! The amount of instruments is quite large too, you can pretty much compose anything that you can imagine and the extra downloads are very nice as well which adds world type of instruments like the bag pipe. This is definitely the composing app to go as a beginner or a pro.

I have to honestly say that Im not satisfied with Music Studio. A lot of the midi instruments dont sound good, especially the piano sounds which are most important for me since Im a piano player. Other sounds that fall short are the church organ, bright electric piano, rock bass, and steel drum. Also, the string ensembles and orchestral flute sounds are too slow attack wise. Other problems I feel are that the mixing capabilities arent amazing, especially the EQ effect. Plus, they dont give you chorus! I even partitioned for a chorus effect on their website about a year ago. Obviously I was ignored. Another problem is that you cant export your song as MP3! They give you other options (AAC, Wave, MIDI) but forgot to include the most important one. This app is nice for jotting down musical ideas, but for professional musicians, skip it.

Last update is horrible, when I record beats from Music samples every kicks sounds like doubled. Sometimes this app crash. Every update making this app worse. I use Ipad 4 with iOS 7.1

The app is okay, but I really hoped there would be more updates with more sounds, instruments, looks, etc...

Music Studio is powerful. Its also straightforward and easy to use. Select an instrument, lay down a track repeat. I like that I can import audio into the sequencer too. Ill create an eight bar loop from Figure and audio paste it in Music Studio to piece together a song. Im happy.

I bought this app for 15$ and it was awesome its just I deleted the app and I want it again and its not in my already downloaded so do I have to pay again HELP!!!!!!!!

I love this app, helped me create one of my favorite songs and EP. I do hope people who created this app add more instruments and easier way to us it..

Seems like ever since the last few updates I havent been able to upload any tracks to soundcloud. Bummer.

By far the greatest music making app in the store. Totally professional. This app is what would be hundreds of dollars on a PC for only 30 on a convenient touch interface.

App is awesome But , please please please please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Add a modulation wheel !! PORFAVOR !!!!!!!!!! And by that i mean mod and pitch bend toguether , not one at the time .... And PLEASE !!! Allow us to import wav files WITH LOOP MARKS !!!!

I love this app, but I wish that there was an option to record your screen, so that I could upload to a social media site. I know that in the app you can record your songs, but I would actually like to record the actual screen. That would make this app 100% better if there was an option like this.

This was one of my very first real music app purchases. Music Studio has come a long long way and does a whole lot for the money. The effects have never been something to gush over but these days with Audiobus and IAA, that problems been solved by many effects apps. The instruments are very nice. Some of the best, and well, honestly some need updating. Music Studio has always been one of the more stable and the workflow is very straight forward. Dont underestimate this work horse.

You get what you paid for and more with all the sounds but the app constantly crashes over and over again. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update

This is the only synth app Ill use. Keeps getting better.

I HOPE THE MAKE A VERSION OF THIS SOFTWARE FOR MACs

I use this app all the time to play midi files with the iPad because has the best midi parser in the iOS platform. That said, I would never use it for sequencing a song because the editor is very awkward to use and simple operations become nightmares. A suggestion for the developer: the scrolling of the notes (in a single track) is terrible; better synch and note adaptive scrolling during playback would be a big improvement to the app.

This app doesnt even take that long to get the hang of. It is seriously amazing. It is basically something youd find on the desktop computer. Definitely worth over $15.

I have several music apps and this one is still my favorite. Its so easy to put song ideas on track and start recording or easily use the midi drums and instruments. Its efficient and its fun!

My review heading says it all. Ive seen many apps that are so complex, its a wonder anybody can make any music with them, but with this app you can create some pretty impressive sounds (check out the "Building An Orchestra" video by Xewton) without feeling like you need to pull your hair out, or go to school to be a rocket scientist first. To me, this is a level or two above Garageband - not so much in the learning curve but in the variety of available sounds. This is a highly recommended app to learn the art of iOS recording and music creation.
